A Brazilian coffee with a rounded chocolate-and-nut direction. Santos is the approachable everyday option in our range, suited to exploring espresso, moka pot and milk drinks.

Origin & sourcing story

Our Santos selection is a Brazilian Arabica supplied by InterAmerican Coffee. Its certificate of origin names White Commodities Agricolas Ltda as the exporter. Santos is a trade selection rather than a single named estate; the certificate does not identify the individual farms.

Growing area & altitude: the certificate confirms Brazilian origin but does not specify a growing region or farm elevations for this lot.

Our purchase is NY2/3, screen 17/18, fine cup, crop 2025/26. These are trade specifications used to describe and sort the green coffee before roasting.

Processing & flavour

The supplier describes its Santos range as naturally processed: coffee dries inside the whole cherry before the dried fruit layers are removed. Its general flavour profile combines chocolate and nuts with a little fruit and a balanced body.

Brewing suggestions

Start with espresso or moka pot if you enjoy a more concentrated cup. For espresso, try a 1:2 coffee-to-beverage ratio; for filter, begin with 15g coffee to 250g water and adjust to taste.

Roasted in small batches by Black Eye Coffee Roasters in Malta. Available in 100g, 250g and 1kg, as roasted whole beans or ground for your brewing method.

Flavour notes describe the supplier’s coffee profile; they are not added ingredients.
