Chocolate-led, full-bodied coffee from Tanzania’s Bukoba growing area. This natural Robusta offers a different direction from our Arabica range, for drinkers exploring a substantial espresso or a bolder milk coffee.
Origin & heritage
Bukoba is part of northwestern Tanzania’s long coffee story. Regional oral history connects coffee with the Haya people centuries before the modern export trade. That heritage offers a wider view of Tanzanian coffee beyond the better-known Arabica origins around Kilimanjaro.
Our purchase identifies this coffee as Bukoba FAQ, screen 14+, crop 2025. It is Robusta, not Arabica. The specific farm group and growing altitude for this shipment have not yet been confirmed.
Natural processing
In natural processing, coffee dries inside the harvested cherry before the dried fruit and protective layers are removed. Our order specifies this method, rather than washed processing.
Supplier profile: chocolate and a full body. FAQ is the coffee’s trade grade, not the name of a farm.
Brewing suggestions
Try espresso, moka pot or French press. For espresso, begin around a 1:2 coffee-to-beverage ratio and adjust to taste. These are starting points for brewing, rather than a tested recipe for the finished roast.

Flavour notes describe the supplier’s coffee profile; they are not added ingredients.
